If you’re like many Israelite women living in the States, comparing yourself to Eurocentric beauty standards is a heartbreaking norm in our community. The focus on thinness instead of health isn’t helping us battle the “generational curses” of diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, and a myriad of illnesses related to our diets.
I fought with the Most High Yahuah in this area for far too long. I went to the gym to slim my midsection instead of gain the core strength that would help me support my back and reduce the risk of injury in older age. I was obsessed with aesthetics instead of mobility, too focused on looking good instead of feeling good. I’m just thankful I’m still young enough to course correct and can hopefully inspire other women to stop starving themselves for an image and build a body that not only honors what the Most High has blessed you with, but encourages others to also steward theirs well.

If I could recommend any book on this list as my top pick, it’d be this one hands down.
This is my runner up for most informative, best book on this list. I’m SO thankful I invested in it!
